Top 7 Places to Travel Solo as a Woman
Some places in the world are a lot easier to travel through as a woman alone, but the world isn’t as scary as many think! If going on a solo slay-cay is something you’ve always wanted to do, there is no reason to be afraid. All you have to do is keep an open mind & your guard up and you will have an amazing time!
Here are 7 safe places to travel solo:
Your breath will be taken away by the beautiful landscapes in Iceland. It is known as “The Land of Fire & Ice” and while that may sound scary, Iceland is extremely safe. Make sure to visit Reykjavik, which is the place to be for fun nightlife and great music. It’ll be so easy to meet some new friends, locals and fellow solo travelers. Other musts when in Iceland are the Blue Lagoon, the Silfra Fissure, Goðafoss Waterfall, Seljavallalaug Geothermal Pool, and Arnastarpi.

Australia’s crime rate is very low and it is safe for females traveling by themselves. It also feels comfortable as you can understand everything around you! That always a plus! If you can, rent a car and drive around the country to check out its diverse landscapes. Take a trip along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria to see the 12 Apostles, go to the Sydney Opera House, and you definitely have to witness the massive sandstone formations in Uluru!
This is a generalization, which I typically don’t do, but a positive one: Canadians are super friendly! You’ll be surrounded by people willing to help you if needed or even show you a good time for the day. Canada is huge so there is a lot to explore! Try to make it to Vancouver, Vancouver Island, Montreal, Quebec, Toronto, Banff National Park, and as many of Canada’s natural wonders as possible! An added bonus would be a quest to Montreal, it’s overflowing with French culture, so it’ll be like visiting two countries in 1! #Winning

4. Costa Rica
Costa Rica is huge on ecotourism, which attracts a very “woke” and nice community of travelers. Many travelers come to Costa Rica to volunteer at wildlife refuges or national parks and make a positive impact while they are there. The locals are very nice and you will be able to meet a lot of friends to explore with. The beaches though, you will never see water bluer than here. Absolutely stunning!
There are so many solo women traveling & even living in Bali. The digital nomad community living in Bali makes it super easy to meet people from all around the world! Get out there & explore by renting a motorbike and getting lost in the beautiful scenery. Ubud, Canggu, and Uluwatu are places you MUST see!

Singapore’s laws are so strict that you will have nothing to worry about when you are there. It is pretty expensive so that is something to keep in mind if you’re balling on a budget. The city is amazing and so immaculate though! Go see Marina Bay, Clarke Quay, Gardens by the Bay, Chinatown, and Sentosa. If you’re feeling really #Fab, check out the 2nd largest Louis Vuitton boutique in the world at Marina Bay Sands.
Last but definitely not least, Thailand! It is very easy & safe to get around Thailand. Oh and did I mention its crazy cheap?! I’m talking surviving off of $50 for an entire week cheap! Try starting your trip in Chiang Mai and working your way down through the country by bus. You can stop in cities along the way and when you get to the south you can take boats to island hop! You’ll most likely meet other solo travelers on your same route so you can join forces. You can also stay in a Hostel. Normally, you can find other solo travelers backpacking through Thailand staying in a hostel. Hostels are a really good & cheap alternative to paying for a hotel. Everybody loves good & cheap right?!
Hopefully, this list has helped inspire you in planning your next or first solo adventure! You are a strong, smart, fierce & fearless woman and sometimes it takes a solo trip to really discover that.
